Information about the cookies and local storage used by this website.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file that a website stores on the visitor's computer or device and which makes it possible, among other things, to recognise their browser, remember their preferences or measure how the site is used. Alongside cookies there are other storage technologies, such as the browser's local storage, to which the same rules apply (article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE).
2. Types of cookies
Cookies can be classified in several ways:
- By who manages them: first-party, sent from our own systems, and third-party, sent by a different entity (for example, an analytics provider).
- By how long they last: session cookies, deleted when the browser is closed, and persistent cookies, which remain for the period stated in each case.
- By purpose: technical or necessary (essential for the site to work), preference, analytics or measurement (they show how the site is used) and advertising or profiling cookies.
3. Basis for their use
Technical or necessary cookies do not require consent, since without them the site cannot provide the requested service. All others — on this website, only the analytics ones — are installed only if you give your consent through the notice shown when you arrive.
4. Cookies used on this website
No advertising, profiling or social media cookies are used. Analytics cookies are only installed if you accept them: until you do, the Google Analytics code is not even downloaded, so your IP address is not communicated to Google either.
5. First-party local storage
In addition to cookies, we use one item of first-party local storage, which is not a cookie and is not transmitted automatically with every request:
- Name:
na_attr— provider: Alanís & Alba Abogados (first party). - Purpose: to remember how you reached the website (landing page, referrer and, where applicable, campaign parameters) in order to know which channels generate enquiries.
- Data stored: landing page, referrer, campaign parameters (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_term,utm_content), click identifiers (gclid,fbclid,msclkid), date and time, and the inferred channel. - Duration: it remains until you delete it from your browser.
- Disclosures: none. It is not shared with third parties.
6. How to accept, refuse or withdraw your consent
The first time you visit the site a notice is displayed where you can:
- Accept all: the analytics cookies described above are installed.
- Necessary only: all non-essential cookies are refused. It is as easy as accepting them and carries the same weight.
- Customise: lets you decide by category before saving your choice.
Until you choose an option, no cookie other than strictly necessary ones is installed.
You may change or withdraw your decision at any time through the Cookie settings link, also available in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent stops any new analytics cookies from being installed; to remove those already stored, clear the site data in your browser as described in the next section.
7. International transfers
Analytics cookies are provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area, relying on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Their policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
8. Third-party content
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and
fonts.gstatic.com), a service provided by Google Ireland Limited. That request installs no
cookies, but it does mean your IP address is communicated to Google in order to serve the file.
9. How to manage storage in your browser
You can configure, block or delete cookies and local storage from your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated whenever new cookies are added or their purposes change. Any processing subject to consent will be requested beforehand through the cookie notice.
